Bindusara seems to be an ardent ruler, so it appears to be more possible that Chandragupta did the same.

It is said that he had written to Antiochus king of Syria that he would send some delicious wines, dried figs and a philosopher from his country.
In the north, the ruler of Syria wrote that the first two things will send it with great pleasure, but keeping the philosophical philosophy in view of the rules of Syria is not possible. It is clear from the correspondence that Bindusara was interested in philosophy and at that time there were social, business and diplomatic relations between India and Western countries.
According to the Puranas, Bindusar ruled for 25 years. On the basis of this fact, it is said that in 298 BC 273 BC Ruled till But according to the Mahavansh (written verse in Pali language), he ruled for 27 years.
After Chandragupta and Bindusara, Ashoka sat on the throne.

Taranath has written that Bindusara and Chanakya destroyed the kings of about 16 cities and took over all the territory between the eastern and western seas.
